The Sacred Heart Women’s Club
The Sacred Heart Women’s Club The Sacred Heart Women’s Club is a woman’s organization open to all women of the parish. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month from 7pm to 8:30/9pm. Until further notice, meetings will be held in the Extended Care Room adjacent to Geary Hall/Gym. Birthdays are celebrated and beverages and snacks are served. We pray, meet, eat and laugh together.
We invite you to participate in our efforts to support the parish with your time, talents and treasure.
What We Do
The Women’s Club provides an opportunity for us to come together in a social setting through a variety of activities: Bunco game nights; a weekly women’s walking group; Bocce Ball & potluck evening; Blind wine & cheese tasting; Christmas Holiday Cookie and White Elephant Gift Exchange; Speakers. Together, we participate in projects that support our parish and community: Parish Carnival and the Annual Holly Days Artisan Faire; Lenten Soup Supper program; Meals for the Men’s Rotating Shelter; and the Saratoga Relay for Life Program.
The Holly Days Artisan Faire in November, hosted by the Women’s Club, had over 70 local artisans featuring handmade holiday and year-round gifts, crafts, jewelry, food and more. The Faire also features Cookies & Photo with Santa and The Artisan Café serving lunch and snacks. The Faire is our major annual fundraiser. Proceeds from this popular community event:
- Provide scholarships to graduating 8th grade School & Faith Formation young women.
- Fulfill a parish need identified by Fr. Gary and Parish Staff. 2015 proceeds purchased a new golf cart for transporting supplies and parishioners. Use of 2016 proceeds is still to be deteremined.
- With an eye to the future, the Women’s Club has committed to contributing 10% of net proceeds to the Sacred Heart of Saratoga Endowment.
It is with gratitude that we thank the wonderful people who volunteered in the Women’s Club Parish Carnival Booth in October and the those who volunteered at the Holly Days Artisan Faire in November. Both were a testament to the spirit & generosity of everyone involved.
