The Social Justice Committee facilitates parishioners participating in charity and justice outreach and advocacy, by educating parishioners and helping them to volunteer to help the poor and needy, and to be conscious of the sanctity of human life. Our Catholic social teachings are based on the sacredness of human life and the dignity of each human person.

Holy Hour – 40 Days for Life

Sacred Heart Church 13716 Saratoga Ave, Saratoga

This Lent our parish is participating in 40 Days for Life. There is a holy hour consisting of exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a hymn, the rosary, a scripture reading, community petitions, and silent prayer. First Friday holy hours will include benediction. Sacred Heart parishioners are praying for life in the church every Friday from Noon to 1 PM.  The dates and leaders of the holy hours are as follows: March 3 – Deacon Don Siferman March 10 – Lorna Ortanez March 17 – Fr.
